Cancun, Mexico

Just got back from a week in Cancun, Mexico where I fell in love with these very detailed, hand embroidered Mexican house dresses. The lady that helped us spent over 45 minutes of her time showing us all of her inventory (which was housed in plastic zip lock baggies). They cost about 600 pesos so I was only able to buy one...but I would of taken them all if possible. People in this area work very hard for their money- we were happy to give her a little bit of business.

I love Doilies

There is something about doilies that I absolutely LOVE. It could be that my Mommom and Grandmother had some of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen ( I still have most of them). I used to keep them on my dresser as a young girl. It seemed as if I rearranged them almost every hour (I guess my love for merchandising started early!). They are so delicate and feminine. They are handmade. I love handmade! They sit in most of our linen closets never touched. I challenge you to find creative ways to use them. They are simply too beautiful to hide.

Just Getting Started....

Well, I've finally branched out into the computer world and I'm actually loving it. I had rebelled for a while, and now I feel like I've got a lot I want to share with the world. I've spent the past 6 months doing what I love.... Sewing, Designing and making ordinary into EXTRAordinary. I had my first two shows in May- they went FANTASTIC! I had so much support from friends and family that I really appreciate.
